The planned position is then 3D printed on a surgical key template that fits the patient’s mouth at the time of the surgery. Where clinicians have usually relied on their experience alone, the computer guided technology allows for an accurate placement of the implant in the jawbone, protecting the surrounding important nerve structures to achieve optimal results.
