Who is a Mandibular Advancement Device suitable for?

Mandibular Advancement Devices are a recognised treatment option for adults with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnoea, and may also be considered for those who snore and are unable to tolerate CPAP therapy. A clinical assessment is required to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

How is a custom device different from an over-the-counter mouthguard?

Custom-made appliances fit every tooth precisely, helping distribute the strong forces used to move the jaw forward evenly. This reduces unwanted tooth movement and provides a more comfortable, effective fit.  

Can I claim this treatment on private health insurance?

Each private insurance company offers a different rebate. A rebate may apply depending on whether you have a referral from the previous specialist. Please call us for further detail.
